[3] r&b music is much more cliche, more mainstream. watch MTV or [V] and you will see my point. rarely do i see vids of rock music genre. rock as in staind, disturbed, a perfect circle, tool and etc. alternative vids don't count.

its not about which genre is more "cliche" the fact is they both are . MTV cannot be a basis for telling which genre is overused/cliche, it shows what sells, diba nga Cobain and the rest of Nirvana was cool because they were different but MTV changed that, they became mainstream whether they liked it or not. But at least Cobain has the guts to end his life before he turned into something like Simple Plan bwehehehe. rock on!!!!

Really adhere to your music preferences, Katharine McPhee rocks.There are many great bands.Always search the web for it bollywood music is a site where one can compile perfect playlists. A cushy spot for a music addict. But just think TV really gives somewhat crooked genre representation, so much trash there…
