I received an email from my friend Paklay last Mon inviting me to go mountain climbing with them this Holy week. Attached was their itinerary as shown above. I didn’t give it much thought until we chatted on YM. She asked if I’m considering her proposal…I said “Nah!I’d rather stay safe and warm at home and catch up on my sleep. Also, I’m a little bit scared” Then she said the magic words “Why not DARE yourself?” The word DARE resounded through my brain. That got me to thinking…”Why not?” What’s stopping me from conquering Mt. Apo? Will I Dare?
After I’ve entertained the idea, a thousand thoughts ran through my head at once.
Am I physically fit? Will the fact that I have mild scoliosis, hyperthyroidism, astigmatism, skin asthma and thousand allergies hinder me? Can I hike the thousand miles? Will the hours spent window shopping at the mall final pay off now?
Am I motivated enough? Will I pull through or will I stop midway and head back home? I have this habit of starting something and not finish it.
What will I bring? OMG! How many shirts? Shorts? Undies? What color? What bag? What food?
What will I wear? Slipper or shoes?
Where will I pee and poo?
Will the subscriber (me) be reached? Is Mt. Apo still part of the coverage area? Where will I plug my charger?
Are there any ghosts or unworldly beings up there? Mind you I’ve heard a lot of stories.
Sigh! These are just few of the questions that are bothering me right now. At present I’m 60 % inclined to go and 40% against it. Actually apart from the dare, climbing Mt. Apo is part of my wish list (list of things I must do before kingdom come) that’s why I’m seriously considering it.
Truth is I’m not really a planner. I’m just exaggerating. I usually act on whims and impulses. I’m the “always on the go” kind of person. I love surprising myself and others. I hate routines and being predictable. I’ll do something for a dare as long as It’s not something irreversible or something that I’m gonna regret for the rest of life.
However I’m quite indecisive when it comes to major things like this. I hate making decisions that’s why I often end up not making one or not think things over.
So, what now? I think I’ll just leave my decision and this post hanging…

Flo, to answer a few q's:
Where will I pee and poo? Everywhere you like. Basta dili lang sa agihanan kay basig ma wow mali ka. bwahaha
Will the subscriber (me) be reached? Naay signal ang touchmobile didto, pero you have to be in that perfect spot(2 clicks southeast, 2 mins north
) and perfect position (you have to try the whole kama sutra book to find the position).
and one last thing….
I ALREADY CONQUERED MT. APO! Weeeeee…..I DARE YA to do too.
