666
June 6, 2006Today is June 06,2006 or 06.06.06. Today is the day that all superheroes are supposed to unite and save us from “Evil”. Powerpuff girls alongside Shaider. Har! Har! I’ve been greeting everybody who’ll listen to me “Happy 666” since morning! I was expecting something to happen. Some kind of mayhem. Just something controllable. Like some demo from the 666 or Satan’s club or something for discrimination against them. But it’s already 9:20 PM and nothing’s happening.
However, since I always have a flair for drama of course I’m not gonna let this day pass by w/o exaggerating things. I want to highlight 6 outstanding things that happened to my world today:
1.I wasn’t feeling well and I was planning to take a leave of absence. However my sense of duty prevented this. I wasn’t aware that I have this kind of sense. Heck I wasn’t even aware that I have any sense of any kind.
2.Somebody e-mailed me a picture of Boy Bawang. Some friend has learned of my addiction and went out of his way to take a picture. So guess who is my new wallpaper, screensaver and YM Avatar now?
3.Somebody invited me to a Crossroad retreat. Is it really that obvious that I need something like this?

Dear Floraine,
This June 10-11 (Saturday to Sunday), join us in a “Crossroads Retreat”. It will make us see the choices before us; the decisions we need to make to guide us for the rest of our life. This will also be a great time to pray, receive valuable Christian teachings and make new friends.
Our retreat will be at the Teresian Daughters of Mary Sisters in Matina, Davao City (infront of Buffet Palace). It will begin with registration at 5PM Saturday and ends 5PM Sunday.
Please bring enough clothes (include clothes for recreation and for Mass on Sunday), your own toiletries, a Bible, notebook and pen, and P400.00 to cover retreat fees. If you have a difficulty with the retreat fee, please work it out with the CLP servants or contact person. Financial difficulty should not be your reason for not attending. May God bless you. We look forward to seeing you there.
Sincerely,
(sgd) Arnold A. Sanico
Branch Leader
4.My job has finally caught up with me. I was torn between the call of duty and the call of friendship. I was doing something in the line of duty that would cause somebody to get sacked. He is my friend and it really hurts me too. But a man’s got to do what a man’s got to do. L
5.I just noticed a single white hair on my head as I was combing my hair this morning. Oh dear!
6.My Ex contacted me after almost 3 months of silence. I don’t why he chose this day to communicate. Maybe I remind him of evil? I wouldn’t be surprised coz he always brings out the worst in me. The side of me that wants to maim or kill someone. I’m still processing this evil thoughts and feelings. Will definitely write a post about this.

As I recall, 06-06-06 turned out to be a fine day after all. Apart from the verbal warning I received for being extremely late for work, and the big-ass bruise that I got from banging against my locker, everything else turned out to be just fine. =þ
