Drug Rehab

My eldest brother was a drug addict. He started using it because of peer pressure. My parents only learned of it when he was apprehended and went to jail for a night. That started his path towards recovery. Too bad at that time there were not much choice when it comes to Drug rehabs in our city thus he wasn’t sent to one. He was banished off to our house outside the city where my father got him a manual job and where my uncle looked after him. My father thought that putting my brother in a harsh situation will do him some good. It took several years before my brother learned and finally recovered the long and hard way. Faith, hard work and a supportive family aided his recovery. If only there was a drug rehab like Stone Hawk in our city at that time. My brother’s recovery would’ve been quicker with lesser relapse and heartbreaks. Bandwidth Exceeded

Ok so i've exceeded the alloted bandwidth by I.PH. I asked for help on this but it seems that I have no choice but to upgrade my account to a paid one. American Idol Top 9

Idol says goodbye to Haley Scarnato. She isn't one of my bet so i'm not really that affected with her exit. She's pretty and sexy but i'm not really impressed with her voice.She did get some attention though with her skimpy outfits but i guess it ain't working anymore.

I was pretty disappointed with last weeks result though when Gina Glocksen was voted out. She was the only female contestant that i like, the other female just don't show much personality.I like Gina coz she's a rocker chick but oh well she would've fared better if she entered the Rockstar series where she can ROCK without limits. Anyways, here's my fave performance from her when she sang I'll Stand by you by The Pretenders during the Top 10 performance which got rave reviews and which Simon said was her best performance.

When I woke up this morning, I feel a sense of anticipation, an undercurrent of excitement..i feel it whispered in the air….summer. Scenes of white sandy beaches ..the rich red soil and the green scenic nature scenes flashed through my mind. 

It’s a good thing that there’s a 5 day holiday ahead so those working individuals can take a bite of summer. Or some discontented souls have already filed for a few weeks leave of absence. My officemates and I are planning to check out the world renowned beaches in Siargao and next week my friend invited me for some fun climb at Lipadas Watershed. However, I can’t go anywhere first without asking for my parents consent. It’s for formality sake and as show of respect since I’m still living with them. When I told my mom of the plans she then cited all the dangers that could happen on the way, accidents and etc. Yes I got my paranoia from my mom!

But of course I know she’s doing it out of concern and is just being her usual motherly self. In the end she gave me consent. My dad goes along with whatever my mom decides, so summer here I come! Some of the things my mom told me sunk in a bit. Yes what if accidents happen? I don’t have any insurance except the usual life insurance by the company. Surfing thru the net, I discovered all types of insurance. There is even a Long-term Holiday Insurance which would cover those summer or holiday mishaps. I’m seriously considering getting one because one never knows what might happen. And the knowledge that you’re insured can rid your mind of those worries and zone it on the fun instead!
