Heroes on Ms.Universe 2007

May 30, 2007

Heroes seems to be everywhere. It has even reached Ms. Universe 2007 pageant at Mexico. The pageant was filled with talented ladies from all over the world. They all look very poised, professional and have probably done work on several types of modeling. But as I later learned some didn't have modelling experience but is just born with grace. Anyways, back to my main topic…I was surprised to see James Kyson Lee (Ando, Hiro's lover..i mean bestfriend*snickers*)as one of the judges. He was picked by Ms. Korea in the question and answer portion and his question was a bit predictable. His question was "If you have superpowers what would it be and why?" Ms.Korea doesn't seem to be a Heroes fan because her answer was not connected to the show in any way or maybe she was just being "pageant-y" ;-) If i would be in her shoes my answer would be "I would like to have Peter Petrelli's power and save the cheerleader and then the world from myself" LOLS :-)

Ok here's the vid of the question and answer portion:

PPP Direct

The moment I decided to monetize my blog I searched for blog advertisers and found Payperpost. After reading and hearing a lot of good things about this community I didn’t waste a moments notice in joining it. Fortunately my registration was successful, it was quite easy by the way. I am now a proud member of the Payperpost community and was able to reap the rewards. I get paid to blog. I earn from doing something I love. It made me more commited to blogging more than ever.Payperpost makes monetizing your blog very easy and I was very much satisfied with their sevice. But PPP loves to exceed the expectations of both advertisers and bloggers. They recently launched Payperpost direct. It just keeps getting better and better. PPP direct makes it possible for the advertisers to directly approach the bloggers which means bloggers now can contract and negotiate directly with advertisers. One good thing about it is that there is lesser markup. PPP direct only charges a 10% fee, 5% of which goes to transaction fees for PayPal and credit card processing. Other competitors like ReviewMe charges 50-100% markup meaning they get to keep up to half of your money. With PPP direct you get to keep more of your hard earned money compared with the competitors. It’s pretty much easy and you can check this site to learn more about it or watch this video. I was actually surprised when I received an email just this morning that my blog is now approved for PPP Direct so I’ll be using this soon. Bloggers, well what are you waiting for? This is one more reason to join PPP community if you haven’t yet :-)

Blake Lewis Lost :-(

American Idol Season 6 has just ended with a very disappointing result. When Melinda Doolitle was voted out I thought the biggest threat to Blake was gone. I underestimated Jordan Sparks. Yes i know that she has a very powerful voice but what more can she offer that we haven't seen before? She's impressive considering that she's only 17 and already have magnanious talent. She has greater vocals compared to Blake. And as Simon reminded everyone that it is a singing contest after all. I'm really dismayed by the result because i really thinnk Blake deserves to win. But as what happened before the Album Sales will tell and i'm betting my years salary that Blake's album would fare better than Jordan.Just wait and see ;-)

Please save Blake Lewis

May 10, 2007

Now it's down to Top 4 in American Idol Season 6 and Blake Lewis is literally the last man standing. Last night they performed songs from Barry Gibb and Blake got really low reviews from the judges and Simon Cowell was actually harsh to him. Now, i'm anxious that Blake might be voted out. He is my bet and i'm fervently hoping he would win or atleast stick around till top 2. He is such a talented artist. Admittedly he doesn't have a great voice but he makes it uo with his beatboxing, arrangements and suave peroformance. He has this cool, edgy vibe on him. Yes the remaining girls are also equally talented with very powerful voices but come on…would you really pay to watch Melinda Doolittle perform? Or Lakisha perhaps? I can take Jordin but she's too perky for her own good. What i'm saying here is that the one with the greatest voice doesn't always win the competition. It should be someone whom people would enjoy watching and someone who has something new to offer. And that someone for me ladies and gentleman is Blake Lewis. If only i could vote for him…but i can't thus i'm appealing to all the others out there who can vote. Please save Blake Lewis.

I've always been the t-shirt and jeans kind of gal and I’m very happy that nowadays there are a lot of choices when it comes to joins. Jeans have evolved from the simple denim they used to be to what seems to me as work of arts. Yeah that's a bit exaggerated but check this True Religion jeans that I found on this site. This would be perfect for the shirt that I just boughy. This site also carry Rock & Republic Jeans and other really cool T-shirt and fashion accessories.Check it out.

Somebody’s fixated on Spelling

FERGALICIOUS

I'm the F to the E, R, G, the I, the E,
And can't no other lady put it down like me.
…..

T to the A, to the S T E Y - girl, you're tasty, T to the A to the S T E Y - girl, you're tasty
D to the E, to the L I C I O U S, to the D, to the E, to the, to the, to the, hit it Fergie

GLAMOROUS

T to the A, to the S T E Y - girl, you're tasty, T to the A to the S T E Y - girl, you're tasty
D to the E, to the L I C I O U S, to the D, to the E, to the, to the, to the, hit it Fergie

From what i've heard so far :) OK i'm not pretty sure what to make of it but Fergie's songs kinda remind me of the Banana song. I forgot the title or who sang it…was it Madonna or Bananarama? Anyways it was also full of spellings :-) I don't have anything against spellings, mind you but two consecutive songs with spellings? Come on! is this a new fad? Are the artist creative juices juiced out? In fairness to Fergie her song are quite catchy. But i did expect more from her coming from BEP and all. This is what usually happens when an artist from a band or group pursues a solo career. The fans get a bit critical and has very high expectations.

Drug Treatment

During my research regarding drug rehabilitation, I was happy to note that there are a lot of help online. However, realization dawned on me that if numerous help is offered it must mean that there are also a lot of patients out there seeking help. This is a sad reality but we must learn to accept it and be thankful that there are organizations offering help. I stumbled upon this site that offers drug rehabilitation referral service. This organization recognizes the different needs of drug patients and finds the best possible drug treatment suited for the individual needs. Now patients and their family are spared of the tedious task of finding the right treatment facility. They just need to fill in the necessary information and voila they will do all the work for you. Friends or family of drug patients can even take the assessment test for their loved one who is struggling with drugs or even alcohol. This is really helpful esp. since not all drug patients are open about their problems. Now those who care can really do something to help.
