Keynote Speaker

June 26, 2007

I am currently pursuing a degree in MBA. One of the main reasons that I enrolled aside from the degree is to gain confidence. I’ve been a working professional for 6 years now but I still lack confidence. I plan to someday conduct seminar and this involves speaking in front of a crowd. Keynote speakers are quite in demand nowadays in various organizations. Fortunately there is an organization that provides motivational public speakers like the International Speakers Bureau. They cater mostly to business organization with the goal of inspiring and educating people in the corporate environment. The company provides access to celebrity speakers like Ben Howland which is a renowned sports speaker and numerous other equally prominent and talented speaker. They provide effective programs customized to meet the consumer needs that will surely gain the attention of your employees.

Big Girls Don’t Cry

Guess who is featured in the Fergie's music video of Big Girls Don't Cry? Well it's no other than Peter Petrelli of Heroes and Jess Mariano of Gilmore Girls…Milo Ventimiglia. I really didn't take much notice of him before but the video gave me a chance to see him on a new light. Damn he looks hot without his clothes on and with all those tattoos *drools* I used to see him as a typical boy next door or someone who's most likely to be the homecoming king with his boyish charm. BUT the video showed him as a bad boy and well he portrayed it well. He looks sexy and ruggedly handsome and very much ready to make big girls cry ;) Check the video out below.

IBackup

June 20, 2007

I posted about an online backup before that would cater to individual needs. There is another online backup that particularly caters to small business and organization. IBackup is the leading service and was even rated as Top 2 by PC Magazine and various other awards and commendations. They are the most recommended online backup and storage provider. They feature automated backups, drive letter access to backup data and anywhere access via browser. They offer secure Online Storage with high quality performance. They even offer physical transfer of data where they send External USB Hard drives or Snapservers. It seems that they do the best they can to meet the consumer needs and ensure a very satisfactory service. Do check their site(http://www.ibackup.com) for more details.

Nancy Drew the movie

June 18, 2007

I'm such a big fan of Nancy Drew books that I made it my mission in life to complete my collection of the 56 Hard bound series.I still read the books every now and then to unwind and reminisce my elementary days. I was prety excited that they finally made Nancy's Detective adventures into a movie. There used to be TV series but it was a bit lame. The movie was set for release last June 15(but unfortunately it's not shown here yet).It stars Emma Roberts, the niece of Julia. I was a bit dissapointed though that they portrayed a teene-aged Nancy, not the 18 year old that I was accustomed to reading. But still i'm pretty excited. The movies plot centers on the uncovering of the murderer of a movie star while Nancy and her dad was on a business trip to Los Angeles. The movie also stars Tate Donovan(Carson Drew), Max Thierot(Ned Nickerson) and Monica Parker(Hannah Gruen). More about the movie here.

1-800-No-drugs

June 14, 2007

Drug help online just keeps on getting better and better. There is now a 1-800 number where people can call toll free. Call 1-800-No-drugs to find the right drug treatment for yourself or for your love ones. 1-800-No-drugs is an online non-profit drug rehab referral service. They provide referrals of treatment centers for drug addicts, alcoholics, chronic relapse victims and their families. They make it easier for people seeking help to find the best and high quality program at no cost. Instead of inquiring from one drug rehab program to another you just dial the 11 digit numbers which is very easy to memorize. It is very heartening to know that a lot of helpline like this one are extended to those who seek help.

Lost without you

June 7, 2007

I'm sure by now everybody has heard of the song, "Lost without you". If you haven't then come out from under the rock :-) I like the song because it is sexy. I loved it when I learned the story behind the song's success. The song is composed and performed by Robin Thicke. Thicke, as he's often called is an American R & B and Soul singer, songwriter, actor and composer. He writes songs for BIG pop artist like Usher,Jordan Knight, Brandy, Christina Aguilera to name a few. He finally decided to come out with his sophomore album, The evolution of Robin Thicke which features the song Lost w/ o you as the second release. The song became a hit and becomes no. 1 in the Billboard Hot R&B/Hip-hop Songs. The video of the song features his wife, Paula Patton who recently co-starred with Denzedl Washington in the movie Deja Vu. The song is about how a guy needs his woman to feel good about himself. It is an admission of his weakness without the love of his life. The love between the couple is so evident in the video that makes it so sincere and all the more sexy. Check it out here.

i heart PPP

June 4, 2007

The moment my blog turned 1 last March I thought hard what I’ll do about it. After hearing a lot of bloggers who monetized their blogs I decided to give it a try. After asking a couple of blogfriends and searching the net, I found PayPerPost. After reading good things about PPP and learning more about it I didn’t hesitate to sign up for it last April. PPP is a blog advertiser who opens opportunity for both advertisers and bloggers. It allows the advertisers to get blog reviews about their product or service by registered bloggers. What I love about PPP are the ff:

1. Flexibility in time and topic

You can write without pressure unlike some competitors where you are required to make post with specific deadlines. You can write at your own pace and write as many as 3 post a day depending on you.

You get to choose about what you’ll post about. I personally choose topics which I can relate to so it makes it easier for me to write. You can choose from a wide range of topics. The requirements are very easy to satisfy.

2.      Credits

You get the credit for your post and not be a ghost writer like this site I almost signed up for.

3.      Friendly Neighbors

I am quite thankful that fellow Posties like Carey were very supportive of me on my queries about PPP. Aside from that I was very happy to see comments in my post from netizens who got here through searches and found my post helpful.

Since then I’ve written 6 post and have made 63.50 USD. I only wrote a few post because I wanted to make sure first that I’ll be compensated and I WAS :-) will use this money to help support in my pursuit of Masteral degrees. I plan to write as many post as my schedule will allow. I am highly encouraging other bloggers to sign up for PPP. It would bring your blogging experience to a whole new level and as I’ll say again, be paid to do something you love.

Photomilk

Janice, one of my bestfriends since Highschool have started her online shop on designing invitations. She is now based in Arizona and has always been very creative. She would give us personalized stuffs like cards and calendars as gift and at one time even designed my very first website which was geocities way back then. Anyways, this busines started as a hobby and was seen as an opportunity not just to make money but also help out busy parents out there to prepare invitations for their kids.Janice with the help of her husband Karl and inspiration from her first born Kaden makes wonderful costumized photo cards. These cards are ideal for birth invites and annnouncements and they cater to all kind of ages. You can choose from their various custom made designs or send pictures and they'll work around it.(Photo above is a sample of her designs) They also make non-photo cards depending on the clients need. You can check out their site and blog for more details. You can also leave comments on this post for any queries or directly contact her (email add:janice@photomilk.com).

My friend's new venture has inspired me to pursue the things I love doing.Good luck Jan! :-)

Online Backup

June 1, 2007

Being active online like maintaining a blog poses the dilemma of file storage. I am faced with the question on where to store files where you can easily access and share. I usually find an online backup space where I can store pictures, videos and music. Thankfully there are a lot sites that offers this kind of service for free one of which is IDrive-E. They are leading in consumer online backup service. They have a very promising mission and that is “to save the world, one computer at a time”. They offer up to 2GB free, secure and fast storage space without any backup and restore restrictions or bandwidth limits or file type restrictions.  This is absolutely free without any catch. The files appear as encrypted always on mapped drive on your PC for easy restore. So your various files can be easily protected. They also offer unlimited storage space for back ups, IDrive-E Pro which is ideal for small business or individuals with very large back up needs. They also have a recent enhancement which enables small business to create and manage multiple accounts. Easy and Hands-free, secure and reliable with high-end features, all you need in online backup.

What more can an online junkie ask for? :-)
